A fleeting visit, just to show a work in progress (wip). Currently making a crochet bag for a colleague. Check out the progression! I’ll post a picture when it’s completely finito. Also, I’ve not been blogging so much lately because I’ve been busy writing a piece for a novel competition! Wish me luck…
I’ve been neglecting my blog recently because I’ve been super super busy, so I’m afraid this is just a photo post. Still, hope you like them. I took them at Winter Wonderland (which is PARADISE IN A PARK). Wishing you and yours all the best for the year ahead, and hope FC gave you all your heart’s desire.
Only briefly – just to say I’ve finished my beach hut cushion I was making for my dad! Hooray! Crochet (of course) pattern from http://www.etsy.com/annabooshouse Onto a picture! Ta dah! I’ve got more to say, what with school starting and having my assessment at the Maudsley, but that’s it right for the minute. TTFN.
“I’m your biggest fan I’ll follow you until you love me Papa-Paparazzi” The term ‘paparazzo’ was (apparently) coined by Federico Fellini in his 1960 film La Dolce Vita. He had a character called Paparazzo who was a photographer, and sources vary, but Fellini thought the sound reminded him of an insect. I’ve also variously heard that it means ‘little sparrow’. Whatever, it means taking pictures of people. Which I might have done today…
Bom dia! I’ve just returned from a very relaxing week in Portugal with my parents. All the time I was away, I didn’t ruminate, click my joints, pull my eyebrows, or walk in circles. Sudden I come back, however… One day at a time. Would you like to see some rubbishy iPhone photos? Yeah you would! We went in May.
…for ducks! It’s been raining pretty much alllllll day* here, so I thought I’d share this doodle with you. Enjoy! * I mean yesterday. It is actually 2.30 am here and I’m only awake as my ear on FIRE. But still, at two in the morning, it rains. Oh, how it rains.
“Carrots!” Not very good, but I enjoyed her nevertheless.
I’ve just come back from Lates at the Natural History Museum! If you haven’t been, then GO. I mean to the museum in general, but if you can get yourself to a late night then you can look at dinosaurs with a) no children in the way; b) funky music playing; and c) booze. I haven’t been to the museum since the Moving Dinosaurs in the 90s (which made a boy in my school cry […]
Christmas so far: Finished bro’s pressie. Finished all my pressies, actually. Hooray! Ate turkey and enjoyed it (normally find it too dry). Christmas tree: And new niece!! Sadly, my sister is very ill and in hospital and I’ve looked after her eldest daughter. To my eternal credit though, I managed to stay with her all day! And though I was Puh-layged with intrusive thoughts, I DID IT!!
This post is a very meeeeeee-centric self-indulgent one, but it’s my blog, so I don’t care. It is, as it says on the tin, just a quick recap of my October so far. Here goes: – My creative writing course starts next week! I’m very excited. I very nearly did a Masters this year in Norwich, but didn’t for reasons far too tedious to go into. – My illustration course is going very well. I […]
